I discovered FairFx through the MoneySavingExpert.com website where it was reviewed favourably against other similar cards.

I chose FairFX because it has few fees compared to my current account's credit and debit cards and the exchange rates were very competitive.

During a tour of California I used the FairFx card exclusively for my purchases and cash withdrawals, the online account site was easy to use, purchases showed up quickly and I found it simple to keep a tab on how much I was spending because I knew in advance what rate I had bought the currency at.

I would happily recommend FairFx as a cost effective and easy to use alternative to carrying cash and travellers checks!
