Once in Florida, the card was accepted every single time I used it
Having booked a holiday for my family to Florida, I was looking for a way to maximise on the exchange rate at the time. I thought it would be a great way to harness the higher exchange rate and save for my spending money at the same time.
Once in Florida, the card was accepted every single time I used it; in restaurants, supermarkets, gas stations and in the ATMs for withdrawing cash. It was so much easier than carrying cash around and I am left with dollars still on the card for any future trip to the States.
It took the headache out of the money situation of travelling, I just made sure I had my UK driving licence as photo ID every time I used it and I had no problems whatsoever. I actually looked into different currency cards but opted for FairFX as it was recommended by the MoneySavingExpert.com newsletter and was easy to understand and apply for. Also, the rates were very favourable compared to the others.
I wouldn’t hesitate recommending this card to anyone travelling abroad, not just because it's so easy to apply for, load and use, but also because the customer service I experienced when I did have any queries was simply first class.
