The Independent published an interesting article today discussing how to stay out of the red when travelling around the world.
Tips included building up a cash reserve before you go, negotiating a larger overdraft, and pre-loading some cash onto the FairFX Euro or US Dollar Currency Card.

It's always nice to see customers telling their friends about the benefits of the FairFX Currency Card!
Jojo shared that it only costs 1.50 Euros to withdraw cash from an ATM in the Eurozone using the card.
She also posted a link where you can get the FairFX Card free-of-charge subject to a minimum load of just 10 Euros or $20.

A quick mention from The Times yesterday reminded everyone that there aren't any monthly fees with the FairFX Currency Card.
That means that if you take just one trip a year, the FairFX Card is still an essential travelling companion!

As highlighted in an article in the Mirror today, around 30% of us don't buy our foreign currency before travelling abroad.
That means that they could be receiving up to 11% less when exchanging their UK Pounds Sterling.

An article on the Channel 4 News website has highlighted that Britons are having to fork out as much as £1.8 billion a year in cash machine and credit-card charges incurred abroad.
Our chief executive Stephen Heath said: "Travellers get hit every way they turn when spending abroad.
"Either they have to rely on carrying unwieldy and unsecured amounts of cash, suffer punitive charges for withdrawing cash from ATMs (automatic teller machines) or use a debit or credit card which not only inflicts more hefty charges but also subjects them to a growing risk of fraud."
