An excellent article in the Sunday Telegraph on Sunday 7th December talked about how Sterling had taken a pounding in the past week, suffering its biggest fall against the dollar since 1992.
Stephen Heath, Chief Executive of FairFX offered valuable advice in the article saying "It is in consumers' interest to keep hold of their foreign currency, not convert it back into Sterling immediately."
Mr Heath was also quoted in the online finance advice publication Easier.com, saying: "As yet the Euro has not shown any sign of weakening against the Pound, so fundamentally we have no reason to expect Sterling to begin to strengthen against the Euro for a while to come."

People are becoming a lot savvier about holiday money. It used to be that all you did was to go down to your local bank, get your travellers cheques and jump on your plane.
